Practice 2011 9.5 is CCHIT Certified 

April 21, 2010 – NexTech Systems Inc. today announced that NexTech’s product NexTech Practice 2011 9.5 is a CCHIT Certified® 2011 Ambulatory EHR and Preliminary ARRA IFR Stage 1 certified for Eligible Providers, meeting the Certification Commission’s electronic health record (EHR) criteria for office-based use. Ambulatory EHRs are designed for physician offices and clinics where most Americans get their healthcare. The Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®)– an independent, nonprofit organization – has been certifying EHRs since 2006.

 

NexTech Practice 2011 version 9.5  also preliminarily meets 24 of 24 applicable requirements for Eligible Providers published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in the Interim Final Rule.  Inspection information is available at http://www.cchit.org/products. For the purpose of qualifying products for ARRA incentives, CCHIT anticipates, but has not yet received, accreditation by HHS.

 

In the CCHIT Certified 2011 program, products are rigorously inspected against integrated EHR functionality, interoperability, and security criteria independently developed by the Commission’s broadly representative, expert work groups, using the Commission’s published testing methods. This program is intended to serve health care providers looking for maximal assurance that a product will meet their complex needs.

 

 As a CCHIT Certified product, NexTech Practice 2011 version 9.5 has been tested and passed inspection of 100 percent of CCHIT’s 2011 criteria.
