Seamless PQRS Reporting

In order to encourage improved quality measures reporting, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) created the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) in 2007. This program has both non-reporting payment penalties and reporting payment incentives for physicians who treat Medicare Part B patients.

For current PQRS reporting, providers must report nine measures across three domains over the entire calendar year. For specialty practices, this can be difficult to achieve. However, Nextech users in the Dermatology and Ophthalmology specialties have new integrated options that make reporting as seamless as possible. These options come in the form of Clinical Registries, such as IRIS® or DataDerm™, all powered by FIGmd.

Nextech provides users with tools for electronic submission of PQRS reports, using a streamlined all-in-one method. Our users submit their PQRS reports electronically, directly through the Nextech EMR software (the method preferred by CMS).
