Nextech Systems Receives Complete EHR Certification for Stage 2 Meaningful Use by CCHIT

Specialty EMR Provider to Begin Supporting Practices in Attestation Efforts Through Personalized Technology Approach

TAMPA, FL--(Marketwired - March 06, 2014) - Nextech Systems, the top ranked provider of specialty-specific electronic medical records and practice management software, announced today that Nextech with NexERx and Nextech with NewCropRx versions 11.0, 11.1 and 11.2 are compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and were certified as Complete EHRs by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT), an Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB), in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Nextech will now begin transitioning and supporting eligible providers to meet the needs of Stage 2 criteria through strategic upgrades and training sessions. To date, Nextech has assisted more than 1000 specialty physicians in attesting to Meaningful Use under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) EHR Incentive Program.

ONC HIT certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Nextech with NexErx and Nextech with NewCropRx version 11.0, 11.1 and 11.2 meet the following certification criteria: 170.314 a1-15, b1-5, b7, c1-3, d1-9, e1-3, f1-3, f5-6 and g2-4.

The additional software Nextech with NexErx version 11.0, 11.1 and 11.2 relied upon to demonstrate compliance includes: FirstDataBank MedKnowledge/MedTeach version 2 and TrueCrypt Foundation TrueCrypt version 7.1 and Nextech Internal Functionality.

The additional software Nextech NewCropRx version 11.0, 11.1 and 11.2 relied upon to demonstrate compliance includes: NewCrop NewCrop 13.05, FirstDataBank MedKnowledge/Med Teach v2 and TrueCrypt Foundation TrueCrypt v7.1. 

The clinical quality measures to which Nextech with NexErx and Nextech with NewCropRx version 11.0, 11.1 and 11.2 have been certified include: CM22v2, CMS50v2, CMS61v3, CMS65v3, CMS68v3, CMS69v2, CMS125v2, CMS130v2, CMS131v2, CMS132v2, CMS138v2, CSM142v2, CMS143v2, CMS146v2, CMS147v2, CMS156v2, CMS165v2, CMS166v3, CMS167v2

The additional costs that an eligible provider would pay to implement Nextech with NexErx version 11.0, 11.1 or 11.2, or Nextech with NewCropRx version 11.0, 11.1 or 11.2 in order to attempt to meet meaningful use objectives and measures include: training and implementation for new clients, annual technical support for existing clients and third-party interfaces when applicable.
