Nextech to Highlight Solutions for Cataract Practices at ASCRS and ASOA Annual Symposium & Congress 2019
Enhanced charting, planning and compliance functionalities among new IntelleChartPRO components to be featured this year.
TAMPA, Fla. – April 30, 2019 -- Nextech Systems, a leading provider of healthcare technology solutions for specialty physician practices, will highlight new facets of its cloud-based electronic medical record (EMR), IntelleChartPRO, as well as its professional services offering, in Nextech booth #1833 at ASCRS and ASOA Annual Symposium & Congress, May 3-7 in San Diego, CA.
Created by Dr. Dan Montzka, Nextech chief medical officer, IntelleChartPRO specifically addresses the administrative challenges ophthalmologists face. New features include configurable charting and surgery planning for faster information capture, as well as enhanced communication functionalities that facilitate better patient experiences.
“As ophthalmologists continue to expand their practices, Nextech remains responsive to provider needs by introducing new solutions that address the current and emerging administrative challenges these providers face,” Nextech’s president and CEO, Mike Scarbrough explains. “Improving the patient experience is a central theme that reinforces our efforts. By making it easier to input, organize and manage clinical data, some of the administrative burden is lifted from physicians, allowing them more time to focus on patients’ care—thereby enhancing the patient encounter.”
Nextech looks forward to showing booth visitors the new electronic Surgery Planner for Cataract Surgeries which gives practices a way to organize and manage clinical data, diagnostic images and surgery-specific forms in one place. Allowing ophthalmology practices a way to reduce human error and ability to speed up the planning process, users can streamline the check list processes across teams, edit surgical plans without unlocking any encounters and much more.
Additional IntelleChartPRO features include group communications tools and patient portal updates that leverage innovative, HIPAA-compliant communications technology to reach different members of the care team—including technicians, billers, and even the patients themselves. These features allow for quicker conversations. Additionally, smoother processes are available for sharing test results, accepting payments and streamlining checkout. Nextech will also present updates to their assisted compliance and coding tool, which lets users easily spot areas within the chart in need of additional documentation. This solution further reduces the time physicians devote to administrative tasks by allowing them to input documentation using real-time dictation.
