Annual conference to offer future-trending insights, power-user best practices and extensive surgical-specialty curriculum for nationwide community of caregivers and teams

TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 20, 2018 -- Nextech Systems, a leading provider of health care technology solutions for specialty physician practices, will host its fourth annual user conference, EDGE, February 22-24 in Orlando, Fla, bringing together surgical specialty providers across the country for the most heavily attended event featuring more new product and practice performance learning opportunities than ever before.

This year’s EDGE conference, held at the tropical-themed Loews Sapphire Falls Resort Universal Orlando™, has 80 new topics added to the agenda with more than 130 total educational sessions. These thought leadership presentations and intensive solution trainings help keep physicians prepared for the future of health care and teach them how to master technology, allowing them to focus more on care while maximizing productivity and financial performance.

“Nextech’s specialty- solutions are industry-bests for the designated specialties for which they were engineered,” said Nextech president and CEO Mike Scarbrough. “And the value of using them skyrockets when the professionals who power the technology raise their proficiency to expand benefits across the practice. That’s the advantage of attending EDGE, in addition to getting the latest intelligence on the health care front.”

EDGE provides a look at the road ahead for health care with opening session keynote speaker Nicholas Webb, a world-renowned health care strategist, bestselling author and health care futurist, who will speak about the four major shifts in health care that will provide unique and special opportunities for practices to drive growth, efficiency and patient satisfaction.

“It’s a time of constant change in health care and increasing complexity in value-based care compliance and billing,” said Scarbrough. “Providers and practices need to stay ahead of the curve on these issues and get the most out of the technology that helps them run their business profitably and doesn’t detract from patient care. We offer conference attendees the ability to gain that edge.”

In addition to participation in user exchange groups, participants may:

  • Choose from more than 130 sessions based on level of expertise, specialty, product, role and topic
  • Attend pre-conference workshops on Thursday, February 22 to gain even more introductory or advanced usability knowledge
  • Visit the product support station or schedule a 45-minute, one-on-one meeting with a product expert

An EDGE app may be downloaded before the conference to build a custom conference agenda, network with attendees, view exhibitors and learn more about speakers.

Those in attendance can enjoy more casual and entertaining happenings at Thursday evening’s welcome reception and Friday night’s visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ Universal Orlando™, included in registration.

“There is something for everyone at this year’s EDGE,” said Scarbrough. “Beyond being a tremendous way to acquire more skills and build expertise, it’s a chance for team building and greater collaboration within a practice while networking with specialty doctors and professionals from around the country.
