Fresh Perspectives: Nextech Celebrates National Intern Day Blog Feature

Nextech's internship program is less about fetching coffee and more about providing authentic work experience to the business leaders of tomorrow. So, we're proud to celebrate National Intern Day and our amazing group of interns this year.

National Intern Day was launched in 2017 and this year falls on July 27. The special holiday has served as an opportunity for thousands of employers to commemorate and thank their hardworking interns in various fields, including the realm of medical software. The day brings national attention to the inspiring investments companies make to internship programs and interns themselves.

Nextech understands the significance of investing in emerging talent, and our robust internship program is proof. Each of the past 10 years, Nextech has brought on a team of interns. Throughout the program, interns work with multiple department heads, perform meaningful tasks that are impactful to our business operations, and learn about the value our products provide our clients.

At Nextech, our internship program goes beyond providing valuable learning experiences; it delivers real results. At the end of our summer program, we consistently offer our interns full-time positions, and we take great pride that many Nextech interns continue to develop their careers here. This includes team members across the organization, including Logan Ohm, who started as a marketing intern last summer and now helps organize and manage national events as Associate Trade Show & Event Coordinator.

“During my internship, I received a lot of experience—and was given significant responsibilities—at large trade shows and events. This really made me feel that I was making a significant impact at the company,” said Ohm. “It also contributed to how at ease I was on my first day in my full-time position.”

We have been fortunate to welcome a cohort of talented interns this summer who have so far left a mark on our team and the products we create. Let’s get to know them!
