Forbes: Healthcare Technology Predicted as Most Profitable Industry in 2016

Ever since the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act was introduced in 2009, the healthcare industry has placed an enormous priority on implementing more electronic software in clinics.
Seven years later, it's no surprise that technology has taken over the healthcare industry, and according to Forbes, the rise in healthcare technology has led to it becoming the most profitable industry in the country.
Here are the most profitable industries from 2015:
As you can see from the graph above, healthcare technology is far ahead of any other industry with a 21 percent net margin. Finance, the second most profitable industry, had only a 17 percent net margin.
As technology continues to evolve and expand within healthcare, it appears that healthcare technology will be even more successful in the coming year.
In fact, healthcare technology expects to see an even higher profit margin - albeit a small bump to 21.6 percent.
Still, healthcare technology is an incredibly successful, growing industry and shows no signs of slowing down.
